About Yo'oriwa Ania

We are a Native-led project growing our wildlife sanctuary, rooted in care for the animals who have lived on these lands for thousands of years. We passionately rehabilitate orphaned raccoons using ethical, species-appropriate approaches, advocating for their well-being amidst urban life. We leverage art, storytelling, and workshops to amplify Indigenous perspectives on coexistence, land stewardship, and relational accountability. All that we do centers around learning, advocacy, hands-on support and the 7 generation principle.

This future sanctuary will support a community of animal relatives and will be guided by Indigenous ecological knowledge, balance, and coexistence.

We envision a future where Native wildlife is treated as relatives, not pests. Communities choose compassion over removal or killing. Indigenous ecological knowledge guides how we protect land and animals. Outdoor spaces are safe for wildlife, pets, and people. Our sanctuary grows into a full wildlife center, education space, and community hub.
